Olympiad Team
On the last Saturday in March, teams from the best science schools in Maine gather for the state's 2016 Science Olympiad tournament at University of Southern Maine, in Gorham. The result, our team returned the state championship to Waterville Senior High.  Placing is based on the lowest overall score from all 23 events. Waterville turned in a 102 for 23 events.  Wayneflete scored 104 and ended up in second place.
Coach Ramgren, "I am very proud of the team's efforts and how they conducted themselves throughout the competition."  This wins brings the 17th state title to Waterville High in the last 21 years.

The Science Olympiad team's next hurdle is the national tournament at the University of Wisconsin-Stout on Saturday, May 21st. "Thank you to all of you who work so hard to prepare our students for success!" Coach Ramgren.

Congratulations to Coach Ramgren and the science Olympiad team for winning the State Championship today. I am sure Mr. Ramgren has other details to add when he gets home. Great things happening at WSHS!
