AC/DC may have said it best, It's a Long Way to the Top. If you don't remember the classic rock hit, then you might want to consider joining the Science Olympiad team (in spirit) with a little traveling music this weekend.

The Science Olympiad National Tournament is being held at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. This year's team is:

Bridger Holly, Katie Lopes, Anthony Pinnette, Nathan Pinnette, John Violette,  Merline Feero, Maddie Hallen, Brock Jolicoeur, Carter Jones, Adam Livshits, Ella Ruehsen, Abi Bloom, Kevin Chen, Jordan Perkins, and David Ramgren.

The road trip leaves Waterville Thursday, May 18th, driving straight through the night. A changeover driver will meet the bus at the mid-way point to finish the journey to Ohio. The same is true for their return, expected on Monday, May 22nd.

Mr. Ramgren says that while this is incredibly tough national competition, his team is really well prepared. Mr. Ramgren is hopeful for an individual medal even though many of the competing schools have ten times the population and resources to draw upon.

We wish them all great luck and a safe trip. We are very proud of you all.
Safe arrival!
We arrived on campus at 4. Checked into the dorm. Sat down for dinner at 5:30. Stopped at grocery store for breakfast supplies.  Kids swimming and playing frisbee by 7. In their rooms by 10:15. All going well. - Jon Ramgren
