In 2017, approximately 1.6 million students took the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT®).  From the 1.6 million students that took the PSAT/NMSQT, 50,000 of the highest-scoring students were recognized.

Waterville Senior High School Juniors Merline Feero, Madeleine Hallen, Carter Jones, and Kai Rabideau are among the 3% nationally that will be recognized for their superior performance on the PSAT/ NMSQT.   An announcement will be made in September whether they will advance to the Semifinalist phase of the recognition.  Details about the National Merit Scholarship Program can be found on the NMSC’s website, www.nationalmerit.org

Congratulations Merline, Madeleine, Carter, and Kai!
