COLLEGE VISIT - A representative from Ursinus College in Pennsylvania will be visiting our school on September 25th at 8:30.  If you are interested in learning more about this college, please sign the sign-up sheet in the Guidance Office.

Science Olympiad will meet from 6 to 8 on Monday, September 25th, in the SciO room, room 149. If you did not make the team, but want to be an alternate, please come to the meeting. Coach Ramgren 


We're starting a group that is focused on resilience and trying experiences outside of the learning environment.  Our focus will be to develop initiatives that will provide all students with as positive of a learning environment as possible here in school. The goals of this organization will be discussed in more detail once we get together as a group. Any and all are welcome to aid in the structuring of this new organization. Those interested please come down after Community Homeroom or reach out to Ms. Fowler or Mr. Power or Elyssa Giguere, Mackenzie St. Pierre or Hannah LeClair.

Any junior or senior who is interested in taking a free, online course at UMaine this spring should see Guidance before Focus Day. There are only 140 spots available for Maine students, so if you want to take an online UMaine course this spring, please be sure to see Guidance for the requirements and options available.

KVCC is hosting a late start semester, which will begin on Monday, September 25. They have a number of online classes that eligible students may be able to take. Please see Guidance for details and registration forms. Courses are tuition-free, but students must pay for fees and textbooks. See Guidance for details.


CORE VALUES PHOTO CHALLENGE: Students should take and submit pictures that meet one of the core values of WSHS (Respect, Responsibility, Perseverance, Openness, Curiosity, Kindness, Engagement, Integrity).  Pictures need to be 300dpi or better and can be submitted to with names of the students and core value being represented.  WINNERS will be used in our CORE VALUES poster series around the school AND will receive a gift card. Submit your photos by September 27th! Get your friends -- be creative!
