Meet Our Principal
Asst Principal Laramee

It is with great pride, humble respect, and tremendous gratitude that I report that the school board voted tonight [April 6, 2016] to appoint me as Principal of Waterville Senior High School. This year marks my 5th year at Waterville Senior High School serving as an Assistant Principal, as well as my promotion to principal.   My working educational career began at MSAD #43 in Mexico, ME as an educational technician in my hometown of Mexico.  I then worked in a day treatment school in Lewiston, ME.  My first teaching job was working as a Biology Teacher at Gardiner Area High School in Gardiner, ME.  I left teaching in order to take an administrative position as an Athletic Director/Assistant Principal at Buckfield Junior Senior High School.  I left Buckfield when I was hired as an Assistant Principal at Waterville Senior High School.

My professional education includes a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the University of Maine at Farmington, a Masters of Science in Education from the University of New England, an Advanced Graduate Certificate in Curriculum and Instruction from Capella University, and I am currently working towards a Doctor of Philosophy degree specializing in Curriculum and Instruction.   My Dissertation focuses on the relationship between Maine public school fiscal resources and student achievement.  I expect to obtain a Ph.D. in early 2016.

During my time at Waterville Senior High School my primary personal goal has been to develop positive relationships with students, faculty, parents, and the community.  Being a parent of a current WSHS student has helped me with that goal.  My primary professional goals have centered on improving student attendance and helping foster respectful and responsible students.

I am excited to be part of all the wonderful things that are happening at Waterville Senior High School.  If you have any questions or concerns regarding your child’s education at WSHS, please do not hesitate to call me at the school (873-2751) or email me at  I look forward to a great school year!
