Admit In A Day Is Working For Waterville Students

posted Dec 5, 2017, 10:50 AM by Floyd Wygant
In the last two months, the Waterville Senior High School Office has helped organize and participate in "Admit In A Day" programs for various colleges and universities.

During the November 9th session,  8 students were admitted to their first choice major at the University of Maine. One student was admitted to her second choice major, and 1 student needs to complete his application but will then be admitted. Combined, students were given $19,000 in merit scholarships ranging from $500 to $2000 to $8000 awards.

The December 1st Admit in a Day say another crew of 6 seniors accepted to KVCC. A few others are close--they just need to take the Accuplacer or finish up a couple of steps.

As each senior settles into a post-graduation plan, we create a paw print to mark this milestone.  If you know of or hear a student has accepted elsewhere--to a military branch, work site, or college/training center, please send them down to the Guidance Office for a paw print!

Next up is UMaine Farmington (UMF) on December 7.  Please share with your seniors.
