Sports Round-Up Oct 29th

Congratulations to the boys cross country team for their terrific showing at Northern Maine Regionals. State meet qualifiers and their regional finishes are: Joseph Morin (26th), Andrew Turlo (14th) and Noah Koch (10th).  The state meet is Saturday, November 2nd @ Twin Brook Recreation Area in Cumberland.

Congratulations to the girls cross country team for punching their team ticket to the state meet! Regional finishers were Taylor Dunn (55th), Keya Amundsen (40th), AnnMarie Limberger (26th), Surya Amundsen (20th) and Abby Williams (5th). The state meet is Saturday, November 2nd at Twin Brook Recreation Area in Cumberland. Ted Brown

 

The girls soccer team will host MCI in a Class B North Girls Soccer Quarterfinal Playoff game on Tuesday, 10/29 at 3 pm at Messalonskee High School on the turf field.

The admission fee is $4 for adults, $2 for seniors, and $1 for students.

Parking is located behind Messalonskee High School where their student parking lot is.  There will be signs directing fans where to park.

Coach Casavant will open and supervise the weight rooms for students wanting to prepare for their winter athletic seasons Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 245-415pm starting on Monday, October 28 until the start of the winter athletic season.

 

The girls soccer team has earned the number two seed in postseason and will host MCI in a Class B North Quarterfinal Playoff game on Tuesday at 3pm. The game is scheduled to be played at Webber but should the field be too wet, the Messalonskee High School turf field has been secured as a back-up. Best of luck to the girls soccer team!


The boys soccer team saw its season come to an end on Saturday evening as Foxcroft Academy prevailed in the Class B North Preliminary Playoff game at Thomas College. The Panthers were down 3-0 at half but fought their way back, dominating the second half of play, scoring two goals but were unable to secure the third goal in regulation to tie it up.
